Join us for the seminar, “Detrimental to Our Well-Being: Digital Technologies and Campus Sexual Misconduct in Singapore,” on 8 April 2022, 4-6pm (Singapore Time).
We will present the preliminary findings of our pilot study exploring university students’ digital well-being and the ways in which various technologies like social media, online platforms, and mobile applications shape and are shaped by campus sexual misconduct at the National University of Singapore (NUS). Our multi-methodological study was conducted with victim-survivors, bystanders, and support persons with care to keep them anonymous and yet highlight their experiences. We hope to have a collective discussion with the NUS community about how to move forward based on our initial findings and recommendations.
Our team, Campus Sexual Misconduct in a Digital Age (CASMIDA), has also compiled a list of academic resources on campus sexual misconduct.
